Sometime in 1996, a couple of guys was introduced to play Airsoft War Games with the oldest team in the Philippine Airsoft. The 5 man team started to form a squad and got the taste of victory after joining the first ever Speedball Tournament (patterned after the principle of playing paintball). Thus, with the prestige gained in the tournament, the squad embraced the addicting hobby of Airsoft.

In 1998, with the so called “different excitement” and the involvement of media in War Games, it opened the door to every individual who wants to try out the said hobby and paved the way for recruiting members for the team.  With the expansion and dedication of the members, Black Ops Tactical Airsoft Team participated in most games, out-of-town events and tournament establishing its name in the airsoft community.

Being one of the most recognize team in airsoft, Black Ops acquired its first ever “home base” at Nayong Pilipino Park in Pasay City where  a number of airsoft enthusiast spend  their weekends in the set-games/skirmishes spearheaded by the team. Black Ops also introduces MilSim War Games wherein scenarios and objectives are standardizing to give more enjoyment and competitiveness to other teams playing. Black Ops eventually became an organizer of big events and tournament such as bivouac games, speedball, game for a cause that is being well attended and anticipated event in airsoft.

By the year 2003, the team formalizes its organization and officers. Black Ops is now a duly S.E.C. Registered Airsoft Team with the following mission and objective:

• To promote, enhance, inculcate to the public and the community the social and health benefits of engaging in various sports;
• To instill friendship, camaraderie and goodwill among the member within and with other related associations;  
• To get involve in civic projects or voluntary work to the community; and
• To participate in the various competitions in order to achieved the sense of sportsmanship and self-confidence among the members and other participants.

To this date, Team Black Ops, Incorporated (as now known) is still an active airsoft team in the Philippines and is supporting the Filipino Airsoft.
